What are split face tiles?
Split face tiles are used to totally transform the look of a wall. Hand crafted and put together by smaller pieces, the finishing three dimensional look of a split face tile is nothing short of amazing. Just like anything, hard work and the extra mile never fails to astonish. It is becoming increasingly popular for homeowners and project managers to opt for fitting split face tiles on the exterior walls, something you would've already seen.
The best split face tiles are made from natural stone. Nature is king, and the stones within the walls in your home won't cease to ever impress you. Natural stone split face tile can further beautify your fire place, and bring a touch of elegance in your home. Customers also choose to fit split face tiles in their kitchens and on a feature wall within a main room.
Can these tiles be used on exterior walls?
If you are going to install these natural slate tiles on the exterior walls, please properly seal the tiles. The sealer that we recommend below will accurately seal all tiles and will also maintain a breathable surface.
What do we recommend?
If you prefer to keep the original lighter natural grey look of these genuine slate tiles, then use LTP Mattstone Tile Sealer.
To achieve an almost black finish, the LTP Colour Enhancing Sealer should be used.
The tile adhesive that we recommend for this product is the Larsen S1 Grade Standard Set Flexible Plus Grey.
